Hey friends--

My name is Caroline, I'm 22, and moving to Edinburgh (in 5 weeks!) for a year or two to complete my MSc in Film Studies! I've been to England and a lot of Europe, as my dad is Portuguese, but never to Scotland. Very excited! Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Welcome to UKY!

I love Edinburgh. I visited for the first time last December and it really puts London to shame! Have a great time there and good luck with your studies!  :)

Welcome to the forum and to Scotland too. I love Edinburgh and live over the Forth Road Bridge about 35 min from Edinburgh.

Welcome!  I went to school in Boston and I'm a lifelong (and long-suffering) Red Sox fan :)

Hiya
Forgot to say I am Massachusetts born and bred and lived there all my life till i came to Scotland..
Just for geographic reference if you are going to be living in Edinburgh... Inverness is UP there.. Its way up northeast part of Scotland.
I keep up on Boston news online via the news sites.. like WBZ,WHDH etc..
Most of my relatives are still in Massachusetts..

I haven't made it out to The Scottish Castle yet, but it's on my vague list of things to do.  Other than Culloden and a token trip to Loch Ness (it was a dinner cruise and the sun set before we even made it through all the locks), I haven't done much exploring around Inverness! I should rectify that!

Welcome to UKY!

There's a few of us kicking about up here north of the border.  :)  Edinburgh is great and I bet you're going to have a fantastic time.

Good luck with your course!  :)

Welcome to UKY- I'm another one in Scotland who originally, with some stops in the way, is from Massachusetts.
