Costco love... Hershey's syrup
« on: August 16, 2010, 07:35:04 PM »
I ran out of my Hershey's syrup that I brought over from the states, and was about to spend lots of money on eBay for a new bottle - until I went to Costco this weekend and was absolutely overjoyed to find it for less...without having to pay shipping.

Now I just need to find some Seattle's Best Coffee.. My Costco doesn't carry it - anyone else have any ideas???

Hershey's milk boxes are on offer at our Costco this month (not sure if it's nationwide).   ;)

Sorry, no advice on the Seattle's Best coffee.  I've not been down that aisle in ages in our Costco.   :-\\\\

Costco rocks.  I've been borrowing a friend's membership (thank you, you know who you are [smiley=hug.gif]), but we're going to get one the next time we go to the States.  Does anyone know if working at a uni counts as working in education here for qualifications for membership or does it only count if it's primary and secondary school?  Not that it matters so much if we're getting a card in the States I suppose.

More on topic:

We picked up a huge pack of toothbrush heads for about the same price we'd pay for two replacement heads in Sainsbury's or Boots. My husband loves Costco even more than me.  He now wants me to hurry up and enrol in driving school, something we were planning in the undefined future.  All so we can sign up for something like Zipcar, and he can have regular access to bulk junk food.  He says having those boxes in the kitchen is like having 24 hour access to a corner shop.

No ideas on the coffee, but as a heads up, you can also order Hershey's syrup through Ocado!   ;D

Oh yeah, we've had an enormous bottle of Hersey's syrup from Costco in our fridge for about 3 years now. Good thing there's nothing natural in it so it never goes off!  :o

Costco also sell cases of Hersey's chocolate milk in little UHT "juice boxes". Those were one of the few things that actually tasted good to me when the chemo screwed up my taste buds, and because they were pasteurised to within an inch of their life, they didn't pose an infection risk! I got my fiance hooked on them, too. :)

LA, I think working at a Uni does count. I'm pretty sure that's how we got our UK membership.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Found this link about Seattle's Best on google. I suppose you'd have to check your local shop(s) to see if they have it, but, the article was dated in July of this year.

My Uni does, but they just got the membership.  I think your Uni has to join something.
