Question about fiance visa application (VAF2)
« on: August 20, 2004, 11:41:30 PM »
 ???

I'm stuck on a section of the application and I haven't been able to get any help from the staff at the LA consulate.

Section 7, question 7.6 asks if you've ever been denied entry to the UK. I have to answer that YES because I was turned away at Gatwick on just my passport when I went for a visit.

Section 7, question 7.7 asks if you've ever been deported or removed. I have to answer that NO because being denied entry is not being deported or removed.

Where I'm stuck at is on page 11 in the section that says if you answered yes to questions 7.4-7.8 please complete questions 7.9-7.15. Here's where I can't get a clear answer from anybody at the consulate. I can't put anything in the boxes asking for information about prior visa applications because I've not ever applied for one before. Where do I put the information about being denied entry at Gatwick?

Either this part of the application is not very clear or I'm just thick.....no smart comments from the audience please, lol.

I didn't fill out the fiance(e) visa app...but when it says visa you were denied for just put 'Leave to Enter' it will ask you what the numbers are or something like that it should look like GAT/1234. GAT meaning Gatwick airport...should be a series of numbers after that but as I don't have my refusal entry papers right in front of me I don't remember what the numbers are. It's specific to you though.

If you need anymore help hun let me know...I'll try to help as much as I can as I was denied Leave to Enter at Gatwick on just my passport in 12/2003. I'll help where I can hun!!

Good luck and tc!!!
