New US passport taking forever

I sent My old passport off To have it changed into my new married name 4 weeks ago and the wait is driving me crazy. I have my Visa supporting Documents ready to go all thats missing is these flippin passports till I can do the online application and biometrics. I wasnt expecting it to take so long for a new passport because when I got my origional one it took 1 week and 3 days door to door. I know one thing when I do send this Visa application off I'm definitly paying for the expeded service, I cant imagine waiting 20+ days to see if it was approved I'd have to be medicated to endure that.

I wanted to start my new life with my Husband in january but this delay I have a feeling is going to set me back until Febuary...of course my parents love this !

Seems a bit long.. I'd call somebody.  I got a new passport within a week this summer.  In Tokyo, and no expedited service.

Of course, it will probably show up as soon as you call.

So I got my new passport yesterday and of course they will send the old one seperate in a few more days....... So Im here with my documents complete,  My online app filled out and my biometrics appiontment made for Thursday....I hope the old one shows up before then.

I was sitting here having a chuckle and thinking about how much this Visa Process reminds me of stop n go traffic
