Christmas Shopping Ideas
« on: October 28, 2010, 05:54:28 PM »
I know it's a little early, but we just got this catalogue today and I thought it had some really nice British-themed Christmas gift ideas. And more importantly they were reasonably priced! They also have some really nice vintage Christmas cards. I should point out that I don't work for the company and I've never ordered from them, so I can't attest to customer service. But, there are some things I'm thinking about ordering, even if I will be charged a shipping rate of 10 GBP!

Good idea for a thread, Bmore!  :)

Anyone have good websites for girls age 7 - 14. We have nieces and I am clueless as to what the kids are into these days and I get tired of asking the parental types sometimes. I'd like to get my own ideas, but I can get stumped.  :-\\\\

I ordered bean bag chairs from Target for my nephews one year and they were a huge hit. What about craft kits, the kind where you make your own jewelry or perfume? One nephew is into science, so I got him an experiment kit one year. You could get them some pretty jewelry on Etsy. Etsy is always a good place to look for inexpensive cool gifts. I would love to shop for girls! I'm tired of trying to be creative for 3 boys!  :P

Target doesn't exist in Canada, AFAIK.
*not in BC, anyways.....

But Etsy - now that is a world of possibilities!  Thanks! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

You said you need from 7 to 14 right. Well just thinking in my local shop it would of definately covered you to at least 7 to 12 years old. I'm not even sure what a 14 year old is interested in and I've got eight years to find out! Hope this helps either way. ;D
