Looking for a good dentist in Kingston/London
« on: September 30, 2010, 12:33:58 PM »
Looking for a little advice, and since I don't know many people over here, I thought I'd throw this out here.

My fiancé has anxiety about going to the dentist owing to the horrible experiences he's had over here.  He's missing quite a few teeth and he's starting to panic about our wedding, and feeling like the lower half of his teeth are starting to shift and are going to fall out.  Anyway, he's too proud to ask his friends if there's anyone they can recommend.  He only has NHS (as far as I know), and we don't have a lot of money at the moment, but I think if he can find someone to tell him what the situation really is (instead of freaking out about what it COULD be), it would give him more peace of mind.

So anyone have a caring thorough dentist in this area they could recommend?

Just bumping this thread to see if anyone out there can help you. You may be stuck with just contacting your local surgery to see if the dentist there is taking patients. The first time he goes he could just ask that they look at his teeth to let him know what's going on, but not do any work (except maybe some x-rays). Good luck!

I go to a good dentist on North End Road in Fulham.  Its no frills, but don't be thrown by the office.  I got good work done (and I needed A LOT) and they were great.  I think it was just about £200 for a root canal, crown, and other replacement fillings, etc.

I will message you with my dentist.  I <3 my dentist.  I'd just post it out here, but it's hard enough to get an appointment anyway.  And my dentist is awesome with dental problems.  I don't know about the other dentist with the practice.  I think they have a month wait usually for NHS, but they do it all, including cosmetic dentistry if you think that would ever be in his budget.

Best of luck to him.  Above all, he should just get it over with.  It's not going to get better on its own.
