Is this what you are wanting to do?

1.  Visit the UK in December
2.  Come back to the US, apply for a marriage visit visa
3.  Visit the UK in April with the marriage visit visa and get married
4.  Come back to the US, apply for a spouse visa
5.  Move to the UK once the spouse visa is granted
