ILR - Confirmation of Docs Received/Potential Inaccuracy?
« on: October 30, 2010, 11:14:38 AM »
I've just received in the post a letter confirming that my SET(M) application has been received and will be passed to a casework unit.

It does mention that if there is any problem with the validity of the application a caseworker will write me as soon as possible to advise what action to take to make a valid application, however, my concern isn't so much over the validity as it is simply how this confirmation letter was addressed.

It was sent to me under my married name and my application was made in my maiden name as that is what is in my passport. Is it safe to assume that they gathered I currently go by my married name as I listed it as another name I go by and many of the documents I sent for evidence of cohabitation were addressed in my married name?

Should I try to contact them in this case, or leave it and wait until I receive all of my documents back (hopefully in a few weeks)?
