spouse visa (what do i need)
« on: November 03, 2010, 01:59:37 AM »
As stated before we have phone records, letters, a couple emails, pictures, he has a letter from his landlord stating i can come live with him, he meets the income requirements but does not have the full 3 months worth of payslips or bank statements yet. We have 500 pounds in savings so far, would a letter from his employer work instead of the payslips as i know someone who did it that way? Also do i need to provide driving records? What else do we need besides birth records, passports, and a sponsor letter from him? I was told by immigration having a refused entry wont effect me getting a spouse visa.
Application 12/07/2010
Biometrics 12/13/2010
Application mailed 12/27/2010
Application arrived at NY consulate 12/29/2010
Email from consulate processing visa 12/31/2010
Visa issued!!! 03/01/2011
Arrived in the UK 01/11/2011!!!!!!!

You can find a list of documents here: http://londonelegance.com/transpondia/spouse/

If he's not been at the job long enough to have 3 months worth of pay stubs then you need his job contract - a letter from the employer isn't necessary. You do need 3 months worth of bank statements even if the job has not been paying that long the account should be at least 3 months old unless it's a new account.

If you have driving offenses you do need to provide your driving record and if you have criminal convictions you need to provide your criminal history as well.

If you're sending passports for both of you then you don't need birth certificate (what purpose would it serve?).

If you have a lawyer that is qualified why are you asking here?

If your driving infractions are not 'spent' then you need to declare them and provide the details. You did not state when your 'infractions' were and exactly what your punishment was regarding them, therefore I don't know if they're 'spent' or not.

You really need to discuss this with your solicitor as that's what you're paying them for and they're the professional.
