Seasoned Salt
« on: November 15, 2010, 07:28:23 PM »
My mum always put seasoned salt in her mashed potatoes...which I find rather delicious, as opposed to the plain ones found here in the UK. Butter, milk, and some garlic powder would also go in, not just the salt. My question: can I find any here in the UK? I have looked in spice aisles, and I can't seem to find any. Is it under a different name perhaps? Or is that more of an American thing? I have found a couple "make your own" recipes for it, but they all differ quite a lot in what they have in them, so I'm not even sure what would be good to try. Any ideas please?? Also, this would be great with Thanksgiving coming up soon!

Schwartz makes a seasoned salt.  Available at probably any supermarket.

We also like Aromat.  It's another all-purpose seasoning.  Easy to find.

Try looking for Season All. The link June added shows the stuff I buy out of Tesco.

Thanks very much :) I have a feeling I passed right over the Schwartz one, hopefully I can find it next time!
