I have been lurking on this board for about a year now and the time has come to end my cyber anonymity :) I am about to apply for my fiance visa in 3 weeks and all of the information everyone has posted is very helpful. I am nervous about my fiance visa being approved as we have put deposits down on our wedding in Liverpool and I moved my dog to the UK a few months ago. I miss my Baboo!

I am sure that everyone has had troubles with the immigration process that's why we are all here! I would have liked to have moved to the UK a year ago but unfortunately it took my fiance a while to get a job... I guess 5 years at University doesn't get you as far as it used to. Anyways, this application and move has been a long time coming and while I think I have everything sussed out there are still just a few little questions I have but, I will try to keep them on the appropriate threads :)

Thank you in advance for any help you guys can give me with my future posts. I can't wait to be in the UK and have all this behind me!

Biometrics apt. Feb. 7th 2011
Mailed Supporting Docs w/ priority processing- to LA cons. Feb. 7th 2011
Delivered to LA Cons- Feb. 9th 2011
Conf. email received- Feb. 17th 2011
Application approved- Feb. 17th 2011
Married- March 26th, 2011

  I'm from Cali and in Liverpool at the moment.  Where will your wedding be? My DH and I are actually getting Married in Tahoe next week! Hope you find all the answers your looking for!

@smashley- We are getting married at the Bootle town hall and our recepiton is at the Lathom Social Club :D I am a huge Beatle fan and they played there 10 times, we were lucky to get it! I love Liverpool, how do you like it there as an American? I found when I was there for a few months most people were great but a couple others didn't take too kindly to strangers.

  Ah! I know where that is- Should be really special! My mother in law used to work at bootle town hall, we passed it on the train this morning! :D I love it here, the people are hilarious and I haven't had any problems.  But here is the question... Are you a red or a blue? :D :D :D

Some folks definitely come on for immigration concerns, but we're far more than an immigration board!  We're a rich, diverse community who love food, love to whinge, make friends, deal with homesickness, find schooling for kids, etc.  So please stick around and be part of our community long after the immigration headaches.  We love newcomers and you're welcome to post in any thread. No standing on ceremony here.   :) :) :)
