Is Marmite as tasty as Vegamite?

If you've ever gotten really close to cleaning fluid or bleach or turpentine so you can taste it on your tongue.  It reminds me of that. When I spat it out it wasn't like "Oh dear. This tastes kind of unpleasant." It was like I'd accidently got detergent in my mouth.

I've been eating Marmite and butter sandwiches my entire life . I usually put cheese with it though because Marmite on its own is a bit bland - in fact, I ate cheese and Marmite sandwiches for lunch today .

(P.S. The British norm is to put butter on all sandwiches, so it would actually just be called a plain Vegemite or Marmite sandwich here).
