Merial 1 year PureVax vaccine

Following on from an earlier post I though I'd see if anyone else has used the Merial 1 year PureVax rabies vaccine during the Pets process? I can't seem to get a good answer from anyone as to whether it is acceptable or not. My vet seems to have no idea.
Defra's website says "an approved inactive or recombinant vaccine must be used".
This vaccine, is a modified live vaccine - specifically "A canarypox vector has been modified, using recombinant technology, to produce expression of desired antigens capable of stimulating a protective immune response to rabies. "

So far defra have said its unacceptable, based on the "modified live" part, but I don't think they understand it is a recombinant vaccine.

Basically has anyone else used this? Our timeframe for our move means restarting the whole process now is impossible 

Can you contact your state USDA vet? Since they endorse the paperwork perhaps they'll be familiar with that specific vaccine.

I used a killed vaccine, so I can't help, sorry.

I emailed them this morning, but still haven't heard anything. I'll try calling later if they don't get back to me.

On exjerseygirls forms it seems they used the Merial Purevax!!!!!!!!!!!! 

I could kiss her for posting these forms on here!
