re-introducing myself
« on: January 06, 2011, 03:14:55 PM »
Hello everyone :)  I'm actually an old member from awhile back, who hasn't been on in a long time. When I was first here, I was living in the US, and planning to eventually get a fiancee visa, as my boyfriend (well, fiancee now, that is :) ) is a British citizen living in the UK, and we wanted to settle there together. Well, after nearly five years of going back and forth for visits (we weren't ready for me to move yet, as he had been living with his parents, and we needed to sort out our own place to live, which we finally did last November) I just moved over here to the UK a few weeks ago after my fiancee visa was approved last month. Things are going well so far, but I could sure use any advice that any of you may have, in regards to anything that I should know about making the transition into living here as smooth as possible. We're planning to have a registry wedding in the early spring, although we haven't booked it yet, which is the next thing I need to look into getting sorted out. Looking foward to getting reacquainted with the site and everyone here!  ;D
