I know I didn't know about any of that stuff when I was a teen and I am sure after seeing a bit of this that I still don't know what I am doing as an adult

I dunno.  Honestly, I wonder how much of it is really common knowledge, and how much is trumped up for ratings.  I'm sure there are some teens out there up to this stuff, probably too many.  But the media has a history of exaggerating this sort of thing.

Anybody remember Oprah and the whole 'rainbow parties' thing that had parents & school administrators ready to burn every jelly bracelet they could find?

Still, it's better than 'Secret Life of the American Teenager.'  For some unknowable reason, Netflix suggested it to me.  I watched the first episode.  It was like someone set out to make a ridiculously cliched sex-ed video, and decided to carry on and make a soap opera out of it.  Painfully bad!

I love this show and I make DH watch it....I was NO angel growing up and since we have an almost teenager I need him to be prepared.
Drinking and drunk at 14 - check
Sex way early - check
Having chats about this - FOR SURE!

I think most think not my kid and man it doesnt matter they may have friends and friends = influence.  I want the open relationship to be able to be approachable to our kids and this gives us what to look forward too or NOT hopefully
