weird stomach bug

Has anyone else had this low grade stomach bug? I'm into my third week of it. I never had vomiting or diarrhea, just nausea the first week and an ongoing pain in my stomach which gets worse if I eat a normal sized meal. A few other people I know have had it but mine seems to be lasting much longer.

Just wondering if this has been making the rounds across the rest of the UK...

We had a bout with something like that a few weeks ago, but I think I've picked up another similar sort of thing again, someone else at work went home early feeling woozy today. We're just up the road from you. Extra rest, fluids and vitamins will hopefully help. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes, this is currently going on with my little one who is 6 years old right now and it makes me feel so much better knowing there are more people out there experiencing it. I spoke to my dd's Head Teacher and she said it seemed to be going around quite a bit.

Yes, it's an odd bug alright. I went to the doctor's yesterday, and she said that it may have started out as a virus, but now I have an inflammation of the stomach lining--so, an unpleasant complication. I've been given tablets to take, possibly for the next six weeks. They haven't started working yet (I'm only four pills into it), but I've decided I'd better eliminate any difficult-to-digest foods from my diet for the next several days. I was in agony the night before last, and I can't go through that again!

Oh feel better everyone!

My little one had a rough night last night and my dh has taken her to the doctor at 8am when they open and they aren't back yet. She's not eating and is also having these terrible coughing fits so much so last night I slept with her to watch over her because I was worried about her. And all she is worried about is missing school.

That stinks, Little_Evo.  I hope the doctor gets her sorted out soon & she starts feeling better.
