Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits
« on: August 18, 2010, 07:27:28 PM »
Is there a UK equivalent of Pillsbury Buttermilk biscuits that come in a can?  I haven't seen them in supermarkets and I'd like to make monkey bread at some point.

Has anyone else found them here?  I showed my fiance what I was talking about and he'd never heard of them or seen them before.

I've been looking for this, too! I love monkey bread and would really like to be able to make it without doing it from scratch! My BF hasn't heard of anything similar either. :( Hopefully someone will come along with a suggestion.

No. Asda occasionally has Pillsbury in a can, but not the buttermilk kind.

I've found Pillsbury biscuits-in-a-can at Asda.  And Sainsbury's has their own brand of crescent rolls-in-a-can.

Oh I am so jealous of you all who have found canned biscuits at ASDA.  I have not been so lucky.

So, I got some Bisquick from various American Foods in UK places online, and have enjoyed awesome american/southern biscuits.  Oh my they are good.

I will keep a watch for those at Asda however, as that would be so sweet to get my hands on.

They used to sell under the Pillsbury name here but they are now under the company jusrol.   The 2 products I have seen are the canned crescent rolls and pizza dough.  They taste exactly the same as Pillsbury products in the USA.  YUMMY!

Where did you find the canned products in Asda? I've been looking all over and can't figure out where they might be located.
