Booking an appointment online for in person ILR
« on: January 22, 2011, 03:51:51 PM »
I've been trying each morning this week but nothing is available yet. For those of you successful in booking online, how long did you have to try? Any other tips?

Would you mind posting the link to where you can do this?

Hope you don't mind, Courtney-but since you had this thread opened, I wanted to ask

"If I am taking my husband with me for my ILR SET (M) in person meeting, do I need to add him to my family members in my online registration (the first part of getting an appointment)?

Thanks!

No. You just make the appointment for yourself only. You only make appointments for people who are actually applying for the visa (like if you had a child that was not a British Citizen and needed to apply for ILR as well).

Thanks all!

When I first registered for my email application-I put both our names-and received two different emails. I went with the first one-and registered. It only took my name and when it asked for any others-I skipped it and finished my registration and will now have an appt on Valentines day with Hubster!!

:)

Thanks again all!!

Benrese- (and anyone who has successfully used this system to book an appointment)- how long did it take you to find an available slot?

I have been trying for a week now, checking several times a day and i have found nothing available.

Does anyone know when available slots are released? Is it random or is there a better time to check?

At this point I'd just phone them up and you should be able find an appointment that works for you. Often the website will say there are no appointments when there actually are.

Hi Courtney,

As mentioned below-when in doubt-call.

For me-I had no trouble at all. I am booked in at Liverpool and I had loads of choices in time/date.

It is just me-however..no other family members.

Luck!

I used it. I found that around 10-11 in the morning was a good time as they seemed to release new slots around then. Also, I would search both ways, by "day" everywhere and then by the specific place "all days". I have no idea why but it sometimes had different slots depending on which way I searched.
I managed to get one that was about 5 weeks out from the day I booked it.
Good luck!

I will def call if I don't book online before Monday, but I am still 7 weeks out and as far as I know, I have to wait till the 6 week mark, right?

Jennie- Thanks for mentioning that you tried by specific day. I had not done that as I figured that choosing the whole week would bring up anything available. I played around with that and found some appts available even though they are too early for me. Still, it's reassuring to know that there are slots open. I was getting a bit nervous!

Thanks everyone! :)

Some people have been able to book up to 8 weeks out. It just depends on if the appointments have been released or not. But it wouldn't hurt to call them and say 'I'm looking for an appointment on xx xx 2011', you're more likely to get what you want.

Good Luck, I hope you're able to make one soon.

I got lucky with booking an online appointment.

I read on here that there was an extension on the fee raise for in person applications and decided to go for it instead of the postal application. I only had a to wait a week and had a choice of quite a few times. I went for the earliest and definitely worth it because I was out before it got too busy. That was early November though.

My friend is also trying to book but so far no luck!

Fingers crossed!
