well, the man and i have both been making some efforts the past few days, and things feel a lot better.  yesterday was probably the first day in who knows how long that i didn't feel the need to "talk" to him about something.  he also signed up with a temp agency and got his first job...only 3 or 4 weeks, but it's a start.  when i get back from galway, i am going to try my best to be a bit more independent, which shouldn't be quite as hard after a trip on my own.  and perhaps the time away from me will help him as well.

anne, i too think the anxiety has a lot to do with him being so reticent.  he does see a dr., altho just a gp, and we have talked about the benefits of psychiatrits and counselors.  well, i talked about it and he listened and asked questions.  he is willing to get help when he needs it and might possibly come around a bit more on that.

just wanted to say that my man got a full time job and i am going home soon for my fiancee visa:)  thanks for all the support.

now the next big hurdle is the anxiety disorder, which i feel really needs to be dealt with more.
