David Sedaris and UK citizenship

Not sure if this has been posted before, but it's a good laugh, especially if you're a) a David Sedaris fan; or b) an expat.

Thanks for posting Chary, that made me giggle.  Still annoyed I missed his show last spring.

Haha! DH read my copy of 'When you are engulfed in flames' and I think I've converted him! 

I've tried to convert DH, but no luck. He thinks you need more of an American sensibility to appreciate David Sedaris ... but I'm not sure I agree.

Anyway, it's nice to know that DS has to go through the same 'Life in the UK' stuff as everyone else!

I think one of my favorite things he talked about at his reading was when he was at the grocery store in London and a bunch of immigrants in line were trying to figure out what type of fish the one woman was about to purchase.

 He now lives just down the road from me, in West Sussex, apparently. Hope I run into him in Brighton someday.

Wonder if its still up on the iPlayer to listen to in full? It be nice to hear the whole routine. My British partner was listening to the youtube clip with me and giggling along...
