Apparently I've been using this site for the past year and a half or so, but I've never really ventured out of the visa arena. Now that
that's somewhat out of my mind, an introduction and thank you are due.
I don't remember how I found this site, but I do know it was right when my then fiance and I decided we were going to settle in the UK instead of the US. It's a very big, heavy decision to make as I'm sure you are all familiar with. What the switch boiled down to was that I was a poor college student, and he was a working man, so it was the most practical route to take.
I'd like to extend a thank you to UKY for aiding me in the process. There's a vast sea of information out there (some of which I've found to be untrue), and I found the most concise and direct advice here.
It's nice to be able to finally close the distance between us after all these years apart. I'm from southern California and he's in northern England. Three more weeks to go
