Life insurance, wills, etc.?
« on: May 15, 2010, 04:01:42 PM »
I've been thinking about the possibility of having a baby, and it occurs to me that DH and I really need to get on the stick, so to speak, and sort out life insurance and all that stuff.  Is there a good introduction anywhere to navigating the differences between US and UK laws, and how to avoid major financial pitfalls or problems with stuff like funeral expenses or inheritance tax, or not having my will in the UK honored in the US, etc.?

Not that I have anything worth money at present, but it would be nice to have an idea of how to proceed in the event that I ever do.

We are having a baby and I am looking at exactly these things. I'd love to hear any recommendations from people.
