Hopefully be out of Charlotte NC and in Marlow UK very soon

Guess Im on here to not feel so alone lol

My husband, a britt, and I, an american, met online in April of 09.  He came to visit in September 09, left first week of November.  Came back January of 10 and we married in February of 10.  We always planned on living in UK but I had a daughter in college until May of 11.  So we decided to go through immigration in the states to keep him here until we were ready to go there.  Long and short of it everything was fine, he was working, everything was going good, until we recieved a letter from immigration in Sept 10 stating they had not recieved paperwork we had sent in.  Everything til that point had been sent certified, but this was just silly copies of things that we didnt feel we needed to certify.  Of course, they said they had not recieved it, cut off his work permit, and declared him illegal in the states.  Due to how long it would take to appeal, we decided to just let him go back and get settled because it would only be 8 months till my daughter graduated college, and we would be ready to move to UK faster than appeals process would take.  We have now been separated since October of 10 and are about to start the process of me getting my settlement visa to UK.  I am currently waiting for my passport.  Needless to say Im scared to death.  Worried that we will do something wrong and be denied.  I have no criminal backgrounds or anything like that which could causew a denial, but unfortunately, after what the US immigration did to us, I dont hold a lot of faith in the whole process.  Just keep praying all will be okay and we can get back to our marriage and life.  I wish everyone here the best of luck with everything.  Thanks for listening.  Tammy
