Cat on his way....
« on: April 07, 2011, 07:59:02 PM »
Finally, after six months my kitty is at Logan airport bound for heathrow. We have been here 3 months whilst he was with a friend. Has to route through Newark, so let's hope that goes smoothly. Anyone have advice on how long the paperwork takes to complete at Heathrow? :)

Good luck. :)

My boys' plane landed at 9:40, I got to ARC around 10, and by 11 we were out the door. :) There were 2 other pets delivered to owners before mine, but things seemed pretty low-key/streamlined.

^^ Yep, despite the sign saying that the wait could be 4+ hours, we were in and out in about an hour.  We flew with the cats.  The plane landed, we took a taxi to the ARC @ Heathrow and less than an hour after arrival at the ARC, we were in a minicab on the way to our apartment.  It was shockingly quick.  There was another pet on our flight, but our cats were processed first.

Good luck!

I dont know if day of week has anything to do with it, or if the others here just got luckier than me, but my dog flew in on a Saturday (maybe busier than a weekday?) and it took over two hours from the time the plan landed.
