Off to Michigan ... again

Just under a week before I fly out.

This will be the third time we've been together.  Strange because we've been communicating for over a year now (phone calls every day, thank heavens for Truphone), but only met three times.  Mind you, one of those times was a very long road trip, and we were still talking at the end of it :p

So ... Usual stuff, making sure the airlines haven't changed their baggage policy, worrying about what size deoderant to take etc etc.  Hmmm take a guitar/don't take a guitar ... hmmmm

I know what that is like, the emails, daily webcam chats the flying over there. You kind of learn to appreciate being 'in the moment' so to speak, there are times being over there when we did manage to make it feel like time had stood still...but then it came back to being back here, web chats, email etc.. I think I started to develop a split personality - web cam, 'virtual' self and the actually bodily self. Sounds a bit mad really 

I have been out to Minnesota (hey, just next door...ish) 6 times now but fortunately (hopefully!) that is done with for a while now as he is coming here on a spouse visa next Thursday 

Sorry about your GF experience at IO here in the UK (that was always one of my worries when I was going the other way and must have been awful...). Make the most of your precious time together and have faith in both of you, you'll get there in the end

I agree with everyone else....always bring the guitar, I would go mad if I couldn't hear you play and sing
