I faxed copies of our paperwork to the USDA for approval and they are good to send to get endorsed (phew!) I was just about to send them when I had a panic. We are leaving in exact one month (May 18th).
I see most people seem to send them 10 days or less prior to departure. I know the Aphis 7001 is only vaid for 10 days, and whilst BA has told us we do actually need that form (*) it does not need to be USDA endorsed. So I was going to send my EC998 now so I don't have any last minute fretting over where our paperwork is (and also can send them with cheaper postage - every little helps with this process!), but am I missing something. Should I wait or go ahead and send them now?
(* off topic but I have seen a lot of people on this forum say BA doesn't require the 7001, just a letter from teh vet, but I just spoke to their Pets desk last wekk who said they DO require the 7001, but it only needs to be signed off by our vet, not the USDA. Maybe they have changed their requirements recently or maybe it is departure airport specific - we are flying out of LAX).
