Hi everyone,

Yep, complete newbie here. I came across this forum and it piqued my interest.

I'm a Brit and I'm here to hopefully share some of my opinions and experiences of living in my country and as I have made a few trips to the US as well as having some close American friends, I may be able to shed new light on some topics and conversation. Similarly, I want to learn about some of the differences and learn from other members of this forum.

I hope I can make a valued contribution and I hope to spend some of my time here.

We met in Tokyo through friends when we both lived in Japan.

Last year we moved to Thailand, got our first apartment together, got jobs with the same employer (!), didn't end up killing each other, got married, and decided to move to the UK to settle down.

7th April 2011 - Applied online for Spouse Visa
11th April 2011 - Spouse visa issued
12th May 2011 - Hubby home :)
22nd June 2013 - ILR :) :)
