I have read so many different opinions on Liverpool as a city from "It's the best" to "what are you insane" ect. My wife and I are moving within a month with 2 young children. We have lived in Malaysia, Lithuania and England is going to be a permanent move. So what do you think ? Which areas are the best/worst crime wise. I am from the inner city, so not much intimidates me.

My wife is from the Crosby/Waterloo area, seems to be a pretty nice area. Can't leave the house/car unlocked like you can here in the rural midwest, but not a bad place to live.

We live there now! My hubby is also originally from Crosby, but we supposedly live in the rough area of "The Dingle" now.  It's lovely- we are a few minutes walk from 2 lovely parks (Sefton and Princes) our neighbours for the most part look out for us and our kids. Honestly, I think people think of Liverpool as a place run by thieves, or hooligans: I've been here a year and all I can say for the people is they are friendly and helpful. The inner city is gorgeous, lots of money is going towards revamping everything. There is lots of family friendly things to do, and the night life can't be beat.   If I want to be critical, my husband says the area of Croxteth seems a bit overrun by hoodies (local kids who are bored and cause a bit of trouble)  but if you want my recommendation, Crosby, Aigberth, Dingle, City Center, Waterloo, Nitherland, and Bootle are all great places to find nice homes at good prices. If you'd like when you get settled in my husband and I could show you around and help you get a feel for the place  ;D
We stole countries with the cunning use of flags. Just sail around the world and stick a flag in. "I claim India for Britain!" They're going "You can't claim us, we live here! Five hundred million of us!" "Do you have a flag …? "What? We don't need a flag, this is our home, you bastards" "No flag, No Country, You can't have one! Those are the rules... that I just made up!...and I'm backing it up with this gun, that was lent to me from the National Rifle Association."
