Kitchenaid stand Mixer adapters for UK from US?
« on: June 04, 2011, 07:43:24 PM »
Hi there,

Im about to make a leap and move to London and the one thing I am really wanting to take with me despite reading that electronics are a no-no. Has anyone heard of an adapter working with these machines or am I out of luck?

Thanks!

Erica

You can do it. Search the forum for threads and check out these guys. I bought mine from them and it worked a charm.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

^^ Yep.  One of my friends brought hers, got the appropriate converter and it works perfectly.  I was too scared to bring mine (we're not here permanently, so it's in storage) and ended up buying one here.  But I could have brought my US one and saved some money.

Awesome! Thanks ladies for the link and input.

We too are not moving permanently to the UK but I cannot and will not live without my Kitchenaid Mixer for 2+ years. I've been dabbling in ice cream making and this kitchen tool is the living end for ice cream making!

Thanks heaps,

Erica
