Just Married!!!

Hi,
My name is Lara and my new husband's name is Matthew. We were married on April 13th. He is English and I am American.
I just submitted my visa application less then a week ago, on the 27th, with a lawyer, and paid for express service. They were closed two days for the Royal Wedding, so it adds to the wait.
I live in NYC, and had never planned to relocate anyplace.
But we met, fell in love, and now I am waiting to see if I can move to England.
He has a house there, and I rent here with my cousin.
I am finishing grad school here, and he has a business with a friend there.
He is close to his family, and I basically really do not have any close family left, except for my cousin.
So, I am going there.
Well, I HOPE.
We applied for 3rd party support because his income was affected by the bad economy. His dad is onboard, and more than qualifies. But, I am still afraid they will deny us.
So far my experience on this site has been great. I asked a question and got an answer right away! It was a question I had been searching the BGC site for... for HOURS.
I am filled with anxiety, and my husband had to go back to England for work, and I am now without him, and just waiting, waiting, waiting.
Without a passport.
So, here we go...

Married 04/13/11, in NYC.
Applied for Spouse Visa the following week, with express service, and I was approved 4 days later!
Arrived in the UK 05/20/11.
I took the stupid LIUK Test Oct. 2012.
We were granted ILR In Person in Croydon on 04/23/13.
Got BRP 2 days later, in mail box - it just appeared.

My husband and I will (hopefully) be living in West Worthing, in The Poet's District. It is close to Brighton.

So, maybe I can meet some people close to there?

There's at least one American I know of in Brighton, and several others in Hampshire, Wiltshire, and Dorset (me!).  If you don't mind driving a bit, we do have occasional get-togethers.

I was hoping to leave NYC before my husband's birthday, which is on the 15th of this month... But, we still know nothing.

My husband's birthday is the 13th of this month!  If yours is around November the 16th, I think we should be friends ;).

It'll be a tight squeeze, but there's a chance you'll make it for his birthday or shortly after.
