I didn't know if this was the right place for this post, but thought I'd try it first.
My son is 5 and I'm applying to renew his passport. He was born in the States and came over here at 6 weeks old. I am not sure if I have to fill in section 5. It says, "If you were born in the UK to British parents, do not fill in this section." So, it seems like I do, but it asks for a certificate of registration or naturalisation. I know the government knows of his existence, but I don't know of any numbers we have.
Has anyone else filled in an application with this issue?
