Any Waterloo Road fans?

Anyone else  after this week's episode?

I swear, I haven't blubbered this much by the telly since Dr. Greene's death on ER many, many years ago. 

I LOVE this show! DH and I watch it together off the DVR on the weekends. It's so well written! Can't believe Aiden, seriously. And I can't believe Eleanor and Tom, of all people! Can't wait till this weekend to see tonight's episode. Oh,yeah, I was totally blubbering thru Sambuca's last episode. DH said I had a bad case of my "hayfever"!

Love it and have watched it since it started until this latest series when they changed the start time!!!     I have to pick up my little one from Cubs at 8.00 pm right in the middle of the programme!  Why couldn't the silly sit-com be on from 7.30 to 8.00 then I'd have an (almost) clear run at WR.

DH and I watch it because it's well written and true to life. DH says the school where it's filmed reminds him of his old school. It's no "after school special", but, it's set in Rochdale, which, like our town, is a place with lots of rough edges, and times can be turbulent. Lots of real life issues are covered, and I'd imagine she relates to one or two characters in the show. I think because of the earlier time slot, things have changed slightly, but there's still plenty of "real-ness". I'd watch it with her, just to see what it's like for yourself.

I think it's a bit like Casualty where it's really easy to get hooked.  Soaps often take a bit effort to get into, but both of those shows sort of draw you in.  We may start watching it, because Mr A seemed to get drawn into this past episode.  He said he used to watch it years ago.

Yup, we only started watching it when I moved over 2 years ago, and there's loads of episodes from past  seasons. Can't wait to watch this week's!
