We used to take our cat on the bus - in a carrier basket - to the vet and he would howl loudly the whole way! People would turn around and stare like I was pulling his tail or something  :-[
Dogs must be easier.

In a way. ;) My cat hates his carrier so he cries constantly while he's in it. (He likes the vet once he's out of it, though!)

My dog likes to sprawl in the aisle on his back, hoping people will rub his belly. For the dog-lovers on the bus, this goes over quite well. For the dog-phobic, not so much. He's also kind of a klutz/idiot, so trying to get him to make himself small/easy to get around is a challenge sometimes.
