Oh god so many people from Floridurr! And some from the St. Pete/Tampa Bay Area, at that... how funny. I'm in St. Pete, myself. :p
FLtoBelfast - Congrats on your big plans! I hope it all goes as you want it to. As for myself, the weather's not a concern. The thing I miss about living further north is the more... wintery winter season. I've found that despite the constant rain, I actually get outside more in Scotland because I don't have to worry about sunburning! Haha. I'm very fair-skinned, so outdoor activities even with sunscreen are out of the question here in Florida. :/ I burn within minutes, and with skin cancer in the family... not fun. You may be in Northern Ireland before I'm in Scotland, so I'll be interested to hear how you take to things, for sure. :)
giantsteps - Ahh, more from St. Pete! It's like a hive-mind invasion! Glad to hear that even after a few years, you're still enjoying it there and adjusting. That's a bit of an encouragement.
sonofasailor - Yesss... that's one way to make them understand! My poor fiance. Upon exiting the airport in Tampa, he asked how we could breathe in this. :p He gets no sympathy from me when he cries that it's 70F/21C in Edinburgh...
Mrs. Robinson - I'd gladly trade you some of this scorching heat and gross humidity for a coldfront if I could! Getting into the car is not unlike sitting in an oven, haha. That said, I do think I will miss my precious flip-flops...
phatbeetle - I won't tell! :p Again, good to know others enjoy the climate change. Puts my mind at ease a bit.
TykeMan - Thanks for the welcome. :) Got some family in Jacksonville. Small world eh?
