Request for additional information
« on: August 15, 2011, 07:14:37 PM »
Help ...question my husband came here on a spouse visa May 10, registered GP and NHS card no problem, But have received a letter today from the Primary Care Services Agency advising that records show his name has been included in a list of doctor in our area as a "new emtrant" to the country. It also states that to enable to decided whether his name should be retained on this liosr as a permanent resident of the UK he needs to fill in a form.....if he doesnt reply he will automatically be withdrawn from the GP list.  They want his DOB, his NIN (which he doesnt have as he does not work instead cares for our child so we dont incur childcare costs) date he intends to leave (?) and whether he is till @ address or not?

Is this normal practise?

Thanks
Geordie and a Los Angelican wannabe.

Hi Kashuna. I split this off from the other topic in the hopes more people will see it. I've not heard of this happening to anyone else, but hopefully some other newcomers to the UK can pipe in with their experience.

About a year after I moved here, I got a letter from NHS Scotland, doing an audit of their records and requesting information from me that I was indeed eligible for the NHS.  I can't remember exactly what I had to fill out as that was about 3 years ago- but  I think they needed a copy of my work permit and visa.  I think for date intended to leave, I put something like 'visa valid until Dec 2012 and will reapply'  So yeah, pretty normal stuff I think.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!
Work permit (2007) to British Citizen (2014)
You're stuck with me!
