I just started a temp job for Harvey Nichols and I went in today with my hair looking a bit messed because of my glue in extensions.  I need something more permanent than glue since I am getting busier.

It would be for Caucasian hair and I am looking to get a thin braided weave so that it doesn't look bulky.

I also need a place I can find 'Remy' hair in colours 613 and 27.

I live in Islington, N1.

Is there someone that does this on the board or suggest a good place to have this done that has experience in weaving with Caucasian hair? done.  If you know about pricing as well, that would be great.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations..

Thank you!
:)

I'm sure any black salon that does black weaves can do a white weave as well. I did my best friend's weave (she's white) and there's no difference, just the hair texture. And it would probably be a little cheaper going somewhere in Enfiled or surrounding area than say Chelsea. the best way I've found someone to do my hair? Find someone on the street (or at work) whose hair looks fab and ask them where they got their hair done. They'll be really flattered and the person who does their hair more than likely loves referrals.
There are two kinds of people.  People who say what they want, and people who DO what they want. Which one will you be?

Thank you vegasgrl. yes, I have asked around at harvey nichols on my break  I have only been temping for four days so I am still trying find people.. one contact is BBM-ing  someone at the moment with no answer yet and I NEED to have this done on Saturday, as I need to look prepared for Monday... so it's a bit of a rush to find a place.

I had a bad experience one time going into a place in New jersey when I lived there and wen to a place that did a full weave on my hair and it turned out looking bulky like a wig... just like the new lady on Dragon's Den!

A black friend of mine told me that I have to go to someone who has experience with both textures, even though I know a braid is a braid depending on the thickness no matter what! I guess I just went to the wrong salon making me look like Dragon lady on Dragons Den!!

I am in islington, so what i want is just any kind of recommendation, that has went to the salon with good results with their weave and it didn't come out looking thick on the top!

thank you for responding to my post!! :) :)
Cheers!

You're welcomed. Another thing, I would suggest until you can find a hairdresser maybe try those clip in extensions? I know they're not the same, but might just be a substitute. They've gotten some good ratings online, and I might try some myself!
