I've taken the opportunity to show my teenager so she somewhat understands what happened that day. At the moment she's getting bombarded with the conspiracy theories from pests/bullies at school.

My brother was 13 when it happened. Since then, he's gone to high school, some college, and been through 2 years of training in the Army. Today, he's being flown into Afghanistan to hopefully finish what was started so long ago.  Please keep him and all of our heroes in your thoughts and prayers.

It goes to show that it's not just a remembrance, but still very much a living issue.

Kind of a cool way to collect memories.

I'm watching the Sky News coverage linked on here and was reminded how the Canadians took in all those diverted flights. I do remember feeling so thankful for them helping to house and feed the displaced passengers who were stranded there for some time.

I remember that day so vividly. I was sitting in class my Sophomore year of high school and my teacher ran out in the hall, came back, turned the tv on and right when the screen appeared it showed footage of one of the planes crashing into the towers. I was shocked, scared and sad. It still makes me sad to this day.. My cousin has the unfortuanate timing of having her birthday on that day. She doesn't let it get her down though! RIP to all of the victims who fell in 9/11
