Southern Belle and family on their way to the UK
« on: September 25, 2011, 01:58:17 AM »
Hi all, We are a family of 5 British Husband, British Son( lucky enough to be born to a British Daddy), 1 Rat Terrier (PennyRain), 1 cat(TC).

Husband and I met and married in 1984 after only knowing each other 3 months that was 27 years ago and he said he would never move back to the UK. Well never say never because we are headed back.

We plan on renewing mine and my husband's passports, getting our son his US and UK passports, getting our US home ready to rent, selling anything we do not need, want or can not use in the UK and then moving. Oh and getting my Visa (ILR)!

We plan on making one trip next winter break to scout places to move to and to see if our son likes it over the pond.

We figure we will be in the UK by summer 2013.

Welcome and good luck!
Even after all this time the sun never says to the Earth "You owe me."
Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky.

Welcome to the UK ya'll!  I'm from Montgomery and we've spent a few vacations in the Smokies.  My partner and I got our CP after only six months of knowing eachother, so I'd love to make it to 27 years.  Where are you moving to?

Heh. I grew up at Moccasin Bend. I'll be happy to explain that, or we can just let it hang in the air.

Welcome to the forum! You'll find it extremely useful as you make the transition.
