I did a search a few months ago and learned that theres 10,000 latinos in the UK, only 10,000!!!!!

i have yet to hear of a Puerto Rican living in Birmingham but i guess i'll find out when i finally get there lol

It's sad but there's nothing to be done about it, on the plus side I can go around speaking in Spanish and no one will understand...

I'm going to put a positive spin on this and say that we are special,lol.

The only real bummer for me will be if my BF and i ever have children, I can't imagine them growing up and not spreaking Spanish :(

u can teach them spanish at home by speaking to them in it trust me it works no one spoke spanish at home but my grandmother so i had no choice but to learn it as a kid n thank god it was that way

Yeah, it always upsets me just a tad that I wont be anywhere near fellow Mexicans but I'll make do...I just have to make sure my boyfriend never ever learns Spanish,lol

lol he would be interested to learn your native language as thats usually common amongst multi cultural relationships but i think that not being around my kind will be kinda cool as i love to go outside of my own zone

Oh he's trying to learn, I just fear the date when I will no longer be able to curse in Spanish without him understanding! It's going to be a whole new ball game moving to the UK but I'm sure it will be great!
