Well, she was an American girl, raised on promises.
She couldn't help thinking that there was a little more to life, somewhere else.
After all it was a great big world, with lots of places to run to.
And if she had to die trying she had one little promise she was gonna keep.

How do I use paypal to do this? I just transfered money from my UK bank to my paypal account- it will take about 5-7 working days to show up there. Once that is done I'd like to transfer that to my US account but how does it work? Do I add my US account on paypal? I don't have a sort code for my US account so I don't know how to add it. Can someone help?

Set up a different US Paypal account for the US account, using the US Paypal site rather than the UK one. It will have you set up the account using US account identifiers, which will be on your US cheques.

You can also set up a direct transfer from your UK bank to your American bank if your American bank is one of the big ones like Bank of America or Wells Fargo. You just need to get the SWIFT code of the American bank (available on the internet) and your UK bank can set up the transfer. That should be the quickest way.

We've had a lot of success with xetrade.com and it is not too pricey either.
