Spending time in UK to check out Grad Schools
« on: October 25, 2011, 05:13:50 PM »
I will be in Bristol in January. I'll be there for about a month and I was wondering if anyone would like to meet up and show me around the town. If anyone did their studies near Bristol and would like to show me some possibilities for my post graduate studies would be greatly appreciated.  :)

I can't say I've spent any time in Bristol, but I'm sure if you contact the university as a prospective student, they will be able to help you out and give a tour.  Do you know what you would like to study? It may certainly be worth speaking with the department directly, especially if you're looking to start PG studies next September.

I won't be applying to start grad school in 2012, I'll be applying to start in the fall of 2013.

Hi there,

I'm actually from Bristol (born and raised a few miles outside the city) and I also did my masters degree at Bristol University in the 2006/07 academic year :).

What are you thinking of studying at Bristol?

I don't actually live in Bristol at the moment (I'm nearly 200 miles away in Lincolnshire), but my parents still live there so I do come back to the city now and then and I'd be happy to help you out with any questions you have or info you need :).

That would be awesome. I'm thinking about studying something in the Sociology department, I'm still doing research into their programmes.

I'll be in Bristol for almost the whole month of January, minus the week where I am in Amsterdam. I will be free during the weekdays (Monday-Thursday) when my girlfriend is at work.
