Shipping-One Tote
« on: October 24, 2011, 04:23:18 PM »
Hey everyone I know this is about like beating a dead horse, but, I've only got ONE large tote to ship to the UK.  I think it might be a bit excessive to go with a moving company for just one tote, so any other ideas that are cheap-ish?  Thanks!

Excess baggage when you fly?

There are also companies that ship excess baggage: Sending Excess Baggage Home From Abroad. Don't be missled by the question, a lot of these companies ship from the USA to the UK.

We just moved here last week and instead of using suitcases we used some rubbermaid totes as our checked baggage.  As long as it fits within the linear dimensions you don't have to pay extra even if it isn't the standard shape.  We just made sure they were within that and duct taped them shut.  we did see them carry it over to the place where skies and stuff goes but otherwise no problem.  Bonus is they are much lighter than our normal suitcases so we go alittle more bang for our buck.
