I made HUGE whoopie pies a few years ago for my co-workers, they thought they were heavenly.  I grew up with them, it was a favourite school lunch dessert!

I've just borrowed The Hummingbird Bakery Cake Days recipe book from my library and there's like four whoopie pie recipes in there including pumpkin.  The Book People has it for £7.99
