Hello from Switzerland!

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica and I am an American, and for the past 4 years I have been living in Switzerland. I'm married to a lovely British gentleman,  and in four years we've managed two beautiful children: Lily who is 3, and Charlie who is 1.  My husband is currently trying to find a position in the UK so that we can move there. We've grown tired of the all the Swiss regulation, etc (I could go on for days)..and we have decided we're gettin' out of here!    I'm really excited about moving to England (or Scotland) as I love it there! Have been there countless times visting family and everytime it's great! We also have a lovely Swiss Shepherd (who is named, Heidi, of course!) and we're sure she'll love the cooler summers in the UK. 

I guess if you wanna know all the boring stuff: I love running (including races), reading, playing with the kiddies, traveling, and of course Facebooking! 

I'm really looking forward to this forum as I've found the "expats in Zurich" very helpful, and I'm hoping this forum will help us out just as much! Hope everyone has a lovely Thursday! Take care!

You'll find it highly liberating to do your laundry on a Sunday, vacuum on a Sunday, and shop on a Sunday. Oh, and take a shower after 10 at night!

I moved here nearly two years ago after 7.5 years in Switzerland. I miss Switzerland sometimes, but not the "alles in ordnung". Except when it comes to the buses. They need some ordnung!
