Anyone In Glasgow or East Kilbride
« on: January 05, 2012, 12:29:40 PM »
I'm new to East Kilbride and spend most of my time at home while my fiance is at work.  I'd really like to get to know people here and thought this might be a good way to begin!

So.....

Welcome to the area! I used to live in the West End of Glasgow. It's a great place :) Been to East Kilbride before as well. When did you move over, and where from?

I'm on the other side of Scotland, in Dundee.  But, only a train ride away and thoroughly enjoy taking the train (or bus) to venture out.  I have met quite a lot of Americans that live in that area.  But, not through this site.  It's funny.  You meet one American in your area and you're likely to meet a dozen more through that one person. You have great shopping in Glasgow and it's a good excuse for me to go there every now and then.  :)

It's great getting out and meeting the locals as well. Welcome aboard and glad to have you here!

My hubby works in Dundee every now and then. I love the entire Perthshire area - so pretty! Glasgow's a bit of a trek for you, though (but much better than Edinburgh, if you ask any of the locals, haha).

Another beautiful day in Glasgow today. Nice and sunny :)

I love Perthshire too. I volunteer in Perth and would live there if I could convince hubby that it would be okay for him to commute to work (in Dundee).
