Has anyone seen...

Has anyone seen CeraVe moisturizing cream in the UK? I have really dry skin (specifically my face) and I've tried pretty much everything in the US and it's the only thing that works for me. I found it on amazon for a ridiculous price.

In the absence of CeraVe, does anyone have recommendations (besides cetaphil) for creams for dry facial skin?

Nevereheard of the product you are looking for...

I use Olay Sensative Day Cream with SPF in the summer and without SPF in the winter.  Can get it at Boots... try it if you haven't.

I've never heard of that one either, PlainPearl.

Right now, I alternate using an Aveeno moisturiser (that I think I bought in the US) & (what I actually use most of the time) an anti-redness moisturiser made by Avene.  It's funny I just realised how similar the brand names are - lol!  Just coincidence.  You can buy Avene products at Boots.  (Aveeno products are also available here too!)

I've tried Olay range before, but it irritated my skin.

I'm sure you'll get other recommendations as well!

I have combination skin and some of my face used to be really dry. I started using a Clinique serum and moisturizer last summer and haven't had the problems I used to every winter. It's not the cheapest brand, but it's absolutely worth it in my opinion.

(Sorry I wrote that like a cheesy ad. Completely unintentional!)

I also suffer from incredibly dry skin, especially in the winter, and was a user of CeraVe. Though, it never did much for me. I now use Pond's Deep Moisture Cream and in the past have also used a deep moisture night cream by Alba, which was also really good and hydrating.

From what i understood, CeraVe, though available at your local pharmacy (at least here in the States) is more of a Dermo script. So, if you can't find it at your local Boots and whatnot then perhaps you can check if your dermatologist can prescribe it to you? Though, I'm not sure how much of an expense it would be.

Good advice, Liliana! I didn't think of that.

I figure I'll bring some with me if/when I move, so I won't have to worry about finding something for my skin right away. That will give me some time to find a replacement product or see if it's available as a prescription without worrying my face is going to peel off.
