Children's Clothing?
« on: April 23, 2012, 08:13:50 PM »
Hi all.

I'm looking to buy clothes for my 9yo DD (who's closer to the size of a skinny 8yo).  I want something similar to the style of Hanna Andersson clothes: plain long leggings, solid colors or basic patterns, and no crazy logos or sayings or cartoon characters.  I went to John Lewis in Kingston, but everything in the girls' section seemed to be part of a theme, a la The Children's Place, and not her style (she's not a frilly sort).  I just want basic leggings, jeans, and patterned tops.  Any ideas?  I live in the Richmond area but am willing to take a Tube ride or order online.  TIA!

How about the GAP? Haven't shopped there in ages (my DD loves black and red and wears very little else).

Thank you!  I'll try the Gap; there's one here in town.  Do you know of any more local (and possibly less expensive) stores?

What about the clothing sections of Tesco or ASDA?

H&M, Matalan and Primark have fairly cheap clothing too and there's also Next Kids and Debenhams, although they will be a bit more expensive.

Get on the gap.eu email list, they routinely send out 30% discount codes to use online or in store!

Polarn O Pyret has Hanna Andersson-type stuff, but I find it to be kinda pricey.

I like the kids clothes from Vertbaudet, and if you are a first time shopper you get like £15 off your first order, but be aware that they run small.
