Looking to meet fellow Americans in Hampshire
« on: December 07, 2010, 11:11:56 PM »
 :)
Hi. I'm an American living in Hampshire with my British hubby. We are both about 30 and have no kids but not D.I.N.K. (we only wish).  We have been here since April and haven't really met many people yet since we still haven't found ft jobs.  At the moment we only know family so we are trying to branch out.  It would be great to meet other couples or people nearby to just chat with about some of the same issues.  My hubby is quite familiar with the States as he lived there for 5 years so he likes to joke around and understands American culture. Hope to hear from some people!

I don't live in Hampshire, but I am in Dorset, not too far away (depending on where in Hampshire you are!).  My DH and I are also thirtyish and child-free.  There are a few other American-British couples in the same age range in the Hampshire/Wiltshire area, though not many (that I know of).  If you ever fancy a trip to the coast, I work in Bournemouth and could meet up for coffee sometime  :)

Thanks. I've been been to Dorset in the summer and it is lovely then to visit the coast. Have have you met other American-British couples then? I just have no idea where to meet them when we aren't in London! I don't fancy moving to London now that we've been in the country for a while.

Hello there:

I am an American and my husband is French as we have been living near Southampton for about 2 years now. We moved from the Seattle area. We are in our mid 30's and we do have children. Would love to meet-up if you are still looking to meet people.  :)
