I am in the UK on a work permit but will be moving to another country at the end of the year. My company stipulates that I can only end my employment on 3 days of the year (yes, I know it seems crazy but those are the rules!). My partner is on a spousal dependent visa and is working in a nearby company with no such crazy rules. I know that once I leave, I only have 28 days in the country from when my company tells the Home Office to terminate my work permit; we plan to use that time to pack up and move. However, my question is: does my partner also have to leave his job on the same day that I leave mine? Or can he work for some time after I leave my job? It would be good to stagger when the last paycheck arrives!
