I'm not worried about the mattress. We have good ones which have a detachable top and a plastic lining underneath. They'll be protected. I'm more worried about the shear volume of laundry I have ahead of me. :) Remember, there's two of them!

I think we're all ready to go. The girls and I went to buy them some special pants today (minnie mouse) and I've rolled up and put away the living room rug, so I won't have to worry about those messes. Hmmm... I'm going to have to think about the couch, though.

Tomorrow it's all go!

Couch sorted. I remembered I had a plastic bedsheet.  We've only been up a couple of hours but we've had a few accidents. I'm really tired today but I've got my inlaws coming up this morning so at least I'll have someone to help.

I had mine sit on bath towels but we had a leather couch so it was just to catch it all from rolling off:)  Also did the juice thing because DS was holding it FOREVER and we needed more opportunities to "learn" from:)  Good luck!!!

We used the crib pads (things that go under the sheet) folded up in their car seats after we had a few accidents in the car.  Like someone else mentioned, when they are first learning, if they say they have to go, they have to go NOW so accidents in the car will happen.  It is a total pain to take apart and wash the car seat, so using the pad works wonders!

And don't forget to ask when you are out and about if they have to go to the bathroom BEFORE everyone gets in the car.  We would be leaving a store and it would always seem like one of the boys would have to go after I got everyone strapped in their seats, then I would have to take everyone out again, go back in the store, etc.  It is a learning process for us to remember to ask them all the time too - you forget they need to go sometimes!
